Yew Tree Gallery is set among fields and gardens facing the broad Atlantic against a backdrop of the ancient moors of Penwith, about a mile from the village of Morvah on the B3306. Exhibitions of contemporary fine and applied art, curated by Gilly Wyatt Smith, are held in the large gallery spaces during the summer season. Artists of renown (whether painters, sculptors, potters, textile artists . . working in or outside Cornwall) are selected for stimulating exhibitions, often pertaining to the interdependence of mankind with the environment. In betweentimes the gallery space is offered as a workshop venue for fully residential courses and retreats. Brochures with our tariff are available to  course leaders interested in booking these facilities.

Recent exhibitions include ‘An Irish Connection’ (Breon O’Casey, Jane O’Malley, with porcelain by Jack Doherty and jewellery by Duibhne Gough);  ‘Wild Women’ (Biddy Picard, Grete Perry, pottery by Pauline Zelinski and jewellery by Daisy Dunlop);  ‘The Land Around Us’ (paintings and sculpture by David Kemp, paintings & ceramics by Mark Hearld).  In May/June 2008 the gallery is showing paintings and prints by Andrew Waddington, sculpture by John Maltby and ceramics by Sue Binns.
